My name is Robert Zacchigna and welcome to my little corner of the web containing my various (data science’y) projects that I am working on or have completed.

A Little About Me (Resume) #

I graduated from Illinois State University and not long after started working as a Data Engineer at Discover Financial Services. Several years later, after gaining tons of experience working on enterprise financial data systems, I moved on to a Software Engineering role at Capital One.

During my time at Discover, I was able to pursue a Masters in Data Science and find my passion for Data Science and Data Engineering thanks to their employee advancement program (which only further cemented my love for Python).

I learned a lot during my time studying at Bellevue University for Data Science and I continue to develop my analytical skills through the various projects that I pursue (see sidebar to the left).

During my time at Capital One, I also continued my learning and engineering advancement of cloud services with AWS Certifications:

  • I did not create this module, but I significantly rewrote and modernized it.

• MKVAudioSubsDefaulter
  • Simple multiprocessing python cli to set the default audio and/or subtitles of a single matroska (.mkv) file or a library of files WITHOUT having to remux the file.
• BlackDocPlus
  • A modernized version of the BlackDoc theme: a two-column Jekyll theme for websites that require a master-detail layout for viewing of content (the current theme of my/this site).
